About Our Camp
Dr. Cate's Flute Camp has been providing quality summer flute education since 2000. This year 2020 is no different, though because of COVID-19, we will be coming to our students via Zoom. Each one week session will focus on important aspects of flute technique such as tone development, articulation, breathing, extended techniques, ensemble and rhythm skills. Every student will be assigned to a small group and prepare a part to be included in the final camp video performance. Students will receive one or two private lessons in addition to the regular class time with the entire group from one of our artist staff members. We will also have special sessions during our regular camp hours that include a clinic on flute care and maintenance, and a special ethnic flute guest to learn about flutes from around the world. So much fun!
